Isn't it high time we incorporate more Internet phenomena into our daily lives? Okay, maybe not everything (reminding myself that certain others aren't always amused when I say "BRB" instead of "I'll be right back.") But, I really do think there are some conceptual web ideas out there that could benefit us if applied more often.
Thinking of poor dietary practices, for example, can you imagine if junk food, like junk email, came with an "unsubscribe" option If you're transitioning to raw, this could be an interesting way to think about each thing you eat.
On special Mondays, you sometimes see a regular feature here on Pure Jeevan's blog called Makin' It Monday. We always have so much fun doing this series, and it's been a huge hit both here on our blog and on YouTube.
We thought of a way to make the special Mondays even more special! Guess how? By seeing YOU in our Makin' It Monday raw food recipe videos! So, here's an open casting call for anyone in the Pure Jeevan family (that's you!) adventurous enough to prepare a raw food recipe on video to be featured in our Makin' It Monday series!
Yesterday's smoothie was superlatively tasty, eh? ?It was clearly something out of Elvis' more energetic younger years, I think. You're probably wondering: ""How does one follow an Elvis smoothie!" I know... it'll be tough to do.
Well, there are at least a few good reasons to name a smoothie after Donald Trump. Love or hate the man as you will, but his name is synonymous with opulence, wealth, and all things monetary. So, not only is the following smoothie highly "rich" tasting, but it's also fairly expensive to make! (In addition to those two reasons, I suppose some may think of ?The Donald as a rather cold personality at times, and this one will certainly chill you with its frozen ingredients!)
Here's a handy alphabetical archive of Pure Jeevan's award-winning Know Your Food video series! (Disclosure:? Okay, maybe it's not award-winning, yet. But, surely it will be someday. Btw, see end of list for "other" episodes.)
Apples (Episode #1)
Beginning today and running all through next week (and even spilling into the following week!), we'll be running videos from the Raw Spirit Festival (RSF East 2009) held in Upper Marlboro, MD, last weekend. If you've never attended a RSF event, you absolutely must. They're the best ever!
Today's installment covers the trip down, during which we stopped to visit Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, a historic spa town visited by the likes of George Washington and other famous folk. Of course, the spring there was in use long before this country was known as America. You can read the basics in this pic:
ever-growing All Raw Directory!!
When you see what it is, I'm sure you'll understand why I'm so excited about it! I think what the All Raw Directory can do for our raw community is amazing! If we all work together, we'll have the most amazing raw and living food resource available for free (there will NEVER be a charge for the directory)!!!
If you haven't signed up for the directory, yet, please do! It not only allows others to know that you are out there, it helps us get an idea of how many raw foodists there are on this lovely planet. Don't forget to add any personal or business raw and living foods links for yourself and others you know about. Together we can collect all of the information---this directory is for all of us! If the All Raw Directory earns money on advertising above the expenses of running the site, those funds will go into the next project I'm working on for the raw food community (I think you're going to love it!).

Nadi Balance: Part III
To summarize yesterday's post, even though this sounds dramatic, the truth is: Wendi was dying. The first doctor essentially sent her home saying there was nothing wrong. The second doctor confirmed she had Lyme disease, but was too late for his method of healing, since the Lyme had already become chronic at that point. He could only offer understanding of her situation and a trial and error method of conventional medications, which rarely (if ever) heal Lyme patients. A supplement that many raw nutrition gurus recommend as essential to health for all people was actually putting Wendi's body, already struggling with Lyme bacteria, into an extreme state of distress. And finally, our own knowledge of health, diet, and healing (even though extensive and accumulated over 30 years) wasn't adequate for healing Wendi's body of Lyme, either.
