I'm transitioning fully now--started some big changes as of October 1st--to raw foods. My goal is still to be 100% raw by January 1st. If I get there before the first of the year, all the better, but that's my goal.

I have a cold right now and I slept for two days, not doing much at all. Today I am feeling a bit more energy, but that could be because my husband made some beautiful salads for lunch and dinner yesterday and also juiced up some carrots, celery and maybe something else (I couldn't taste it because of my head being so stuffed up). I had another salad today that he made, this time being able to taste it, and it's amazing! He's using a copius amount of herbs and raw garlic. YUM!! I had a fully raw day yesterday (coconut shake, salad, coconut shake, salad, veg juice). Today, so far, it's going well with the raw, too! I had a coconut shake so far and a salad.

Anyway, I'm kind of bummed that I'm sick at the beginning of this month, since I was really counting October as my starting point. I was too tired to do a lot of the things I will be doing (hand-written journaling, meditating, and many other things), but at least I've been successful with the main change of excluding all dairy, wheat, soy, and sugar. I think those things, alone, will make a huge difference in how I feel. Adding in all the fresh veggies and fruits can only make things even better!

I'm going to post some pics in a few minutes from the NYC trip, along with some other food pics from when I was on vacation.

So you won't be eating anything cooked?

Well, for now if I want something cooked, I'll eat it (as long as it doesn't contain dairy, wheat, soy, or sugar). I'm aiming to add more and more fresh (uncooked) foods as the days go by, with my goal of eating only uncooked foods 100% of the time by January 1st. I'm already eating mostly uncooked foods most days, but if I want something cooked, then I eat it. The really enjoy steamed green beans, so I've been eating a lot of those. ;-)
