Know Any Literary Animal Lovers?

Hi there PureJeevan readers! We wanted to let you know that Jim's new novel CHROO is available on Amazon. It's a crazy adventure involving a billionaire heiress, her Chihuahua BFF ("Chroo") and a host of human and animal characters. Find out more on Amazon! Here are some links:

As we'll show over the course of this week, the Raw Spirit Festival is about much more than just delicious, nutritious raw food. In fact, there's usually so many fun things taking place simultaneously while you're there that it's easy to forget about the foods completely!

I'd been there an entire day before realizing that there was a raw food court on site. (Mostly, I'd been dining on fruit I'd brought along and had stored in a cooler in my tent!). Thankfully, I did eventually discover the food court, and it was really something special. To call it a "food court" is almost demeaning, as that phrase brings to mind bland "mall food" restaurants that serve up mostly fast food fare. At the RSF, you're treated with many delicious options, which can make choosing a place to dine rather difficult!

I thought I'd grab some video of one of the vendors there to show here. In this vid, I interview Glen Colello, one of the owners of Catch a Healthy Habit Cafe in West Haven, Connecticut. Besides offering tasty raw foods, Catch a Healthy Habit has become quite a speaking destination for various raw chefs and presenters. Glen will touch on that a bit in the video, as well as demonstrate how to make their signature Superhero smoothie (which I quite enjoyed!). You can visit them at catchahealthyhabit.com to check out their site and menu.

Stay tuned each day this week as we run more videos from the Raw Spirit Festival.

Glen was great! I was excited that one of my volunteer shifts was being his assitant for his chef demo on Sunday! He made some awesome ice cream (which I still need the recipe for), and a wonderful chocolate sauce for it (ditto on the recipe!) for the demo and everyone loved it! Thanks for a great time Glen and thanks for getting him on video Jim ~ great fun!

Hugs, Tina

Yeah, he was really enthusiastic and fun to talk with -- and so was Paul, the other guy in the booth there! They must have a super raw food scene up in West Haven.

I didn't attend many of the food demos @ RSF. There was always SO much going on at the same time! It's tough to decide what to do at any given time. Are you heading to Prescott, Tina?

Thanks, Carlos! BTW, are you attending RSF Prescott by chance? Surely it's not too far from San Diego!
