Many people have asked us about the Raw Spirit Festival (RSF): What is it? When is it? Where is it? Will we be going ? So, we wanted to take a moment to answer those questions.

  • What Is It ? Well, as any long-time reader of this blog is likely aware, RSF is a very special event! Not only does it have its own web site, which we encourage you ti visit in order to learn more, but we've also devoted an entire category of the All Raw Directory to "Raw Spirit Festival Memories," a place where people can post links to blog entries, photo sets, and videos from various RSF events.

    ?

  • When and Where Is It Three RSF events were planned for 2009. One has already taken place (June 5-7 in Santa Barbara, CA). The next two are planned for August 29-30 near Washington, D.C. (more info), and then September 26-27 in Prescott, AZ (more info).

    ?

  • Will We Be Going ? Sadly, we missed out on the Santa Barbara event, but we're planning to attend the next two. (Wendi plans to attend both. If we can arrange for someone to care for our four-legged canine companion, Julia, then Jim and KDcat will also attend the D.C. area one. It looks like Wendi and KDcat will then be attending the Prescott festie together, with Jim staying home on "dog-duty.")

Please take some time to visit their site and also browse through some of the posts and pics and videos archived on the All Raw Directory. If you plan to attend, please let us know so we can say hello non-virtually for a change. What's the word for that again ??? Oh yes... in REAL LIFE! So, who's going

Prescott is sooo nice, I encourage all to go if they can. I love it out west. I doubt with what's going on with us right now, potential layoff coming, possible RV purchase, short sale on home, etc. well... it's all too up in the air for me to plan anything else. Sure will be there in spirit though!!! And looking forward to some youtube videos as well! :)

If I could get a ride to DC for that festival, I would love to go and be in total bliss. Since I have no car now, this would make it difficult. If I do not get a ride Jim, I would be happy to do dog duty, if she would get along with a female raw food Airedale? I am very good with dogs...........have a Dog Watch fence (electric) and also have two very large kennels (airline crates)......the largest (great dane size). The offer is there!

OHMYGOSH! I'm near Phoenix, AZ and would love to tag along with someone! Wendi and KDcat you can stay with me any time before, during, after, I'm 2 hours south of Sedona and Prescott is a bit closer, I have a spare bedroom and can even throw in a small Honda Civic for your use! And I always "uncook" way too much food! What an honor it would be to meet you! And anyone else who may be going!!!
