Wow, today is a really special day: Jay Kordich's 86th birthday! There must be millions of stories of how Jay has touched the lives of people in enormously positive ways. Here's ours...

Back in the early 1990s when we moved to the Washington, D.C., area, Wendi got a job in Arlington, Virginia. When she walked into work one day, one of the other workers there was absolutely glowing. So, she asked the woman, "Do you have a new boyfriend or something ?!!"

"No," she replied. "I'm juicing."

At the time, neither of us had ever even heard of juicing. But, by the time that woman had finished explaining it, Wendi had made up her mind that she was going to try it, too. So, she made a beeline for a department store and we had our first "Juiceman" juicer!

The juicer (the "Juiceman Jr." model) came with a cassette tape program that explained some of the concepts. We both remember giggling as Jay very frankly and vividly covered some of the details of the human digestive system. We'd never heard anyone talk so openly about what is normally a rather private matter. (To be honest, we still sometimes quote that cassette tape. I do a pretty good Jay the Juiceman impression.)

And the rest is history for us. We've juiced on and off ever since (much more frequently after going raw, of course).

Anyway, just think:? Here's a guy who had cancer 61 years ago at the age of 25, cured himself of it, and has since lived a long and vibrant life, literally expanding the lifespans of millions of people worldwide -- and he's still going strong! Wow... Happy 86th Jay!

Oh, and we also wanted to mention that we've been exchanging emails with Jay for a few weeks now, and we're plannning on conducting an interview with him soon (to be posted here and on NaturalNews.com). So, if you have any questions for him, please let us know and we'll try to work them in!

Here's a great video from Jay's web site, JuiceDaddy.com:

Jay made me like carrot juice! Before I'd just down it (my husband loves carrot juice so I make some often) but then I read Jay's book where he recommends adding a few apples in the juice, and yum, I love my carrot juice now!

Thank you for sharing this! I don't know why I drag my feet with juicing! I know I should and I appreciate you posting this.
