In this video, Pure Jeevan heads to Washington, D.C., to visit some close friends. See what these raw foodists pack to eat for the weekend and hear proof that Wendi Dee is getting younger! A friend who has known Wendi for 20 years says she now looks as young as she did when they first met! *giggles* Raw foods are AMAZING at restoring youthfulness! Are you getting younger, too !
You'll see a picture of a raw apple pie that Wendi created (the recipe is included in our free raw food recipe ebook) and hear her friends rave about the raw cheesecake she prepared for them. It's always nice to make some extra special raw treats for your friends, so they can see that you're enjoying the food that's helping you regain your health (and youth!).
What do you usually pack when you visit with others for a few days? This time we packed some prepared raw foods as well as simple fresh fruits and veggies. If you feel like you might be tempted to eat cooked foods (this was a very tempting trip for us because our friend Mamta is THE BEST Indian food chef in the world---no kidding!), prepare ahead of time before heading out the door. If you have some gourmet raw foods prepared, the temptation will be lessened. It's pretty tough to be smelling the aroma of Indian foods, but in the end our health is worth so much more than the fleeting pleasure of smelling and tasting the best Indian food in the world. What could ever be more important than your health, right? With that kind of thinking you'll always have your best interest at heart and you'll be filled with the strength to lovingly decline the most tempting non-raw foods.

Here's a picture of Wendi with her best friends. They've witnessed her growth and changes and have never wavered in their love and support for everything she has done.

Love the video, LOL and yes I can see why they say you're so young looking. You and Jim both look young!
I am curious as to your raw apple pie recipe - I make one also, from a modified one I found online and instead of grating or slicing up all the apples for the filling (and since I am lazy in that regard) I make the filling in my Vita-Mix so it's more like a thick raw applesauce. I took it to our last raw potluck though and it held up very well, even after an hour drive to get there and sitting on the table for an hour or more! Now, my banana blueberry pie though, that was another story! It tasted good but it didn't set up quite as thick as I'd have liked for it to so if you have a recipe for one of those I'm all ears. :)

Thanks! :-) I love the apple pie and I'm surprised we don't make it more often. I think I'm a tad lazy when it comes to making food. :-P

Thanks!
The apple pie recipe is in the free ebook. For the banana blueberry pie I would have added coconut oil and put it in the freezer for a bit to firm it all up. For traveling, you'd have to make sure you had it on ice, though, to keep it firm, I think. :-)
