Here it is, the new year. I've never been excited about the end of one year and the beginning of the next, but this time it's different. So many things have changed in our lives here at Pure Jeevan, bringing us to this point in time--a time that we are ready for and fully embrace. This year is going to be RAWmazing!

Many plans and projects have been started over the past few years, and this is the year that will see many of them fully blossom. The beauty of these projects is that they are about so much more than just us, or just you, our lovely readers. Our mission is to help as many people as possible to wake up from a life that's only partially being lived. We believe there are many tools that can be used to fully wake up and embrace life; one of them is eating a raw food diet. We raw foodists know that there is a lot more to life than what we've been taught to believe and expect, and many of us are helping others learn this beautiful fact. We are shaking up many of the core beliefs on which most of us have based our lives. I strongly believe that many of us in the raw food movement can say: We Are The Ones! We are the ones who are here to make positive changes, to help others fully embrace life, and to have fun, fun, fun! Why waste even one more day of your precious life doing something you don't enjoy doing? It's time to have fun, to feel the love that exists within and all around us, and to help others experience the same! So, are you in ?Do you want to join us on this grand adventure of creating a blissful life for not only ourselves, but for the rest of the world, as well?

Join us in helping these projects blossom this year, and witnessing the beauty that comes from following one's dreams!

  • We're launching two free eBooks for all of you! Sign up to receive them: Raw Foods 101 and Raw Food Recipes. If you didn't see a pop-over when you came to the site to receive these eBooks, please let us know.

  • The Pure Jeevan site is undergoing some major behind-the-scenes work that will be unveiled in the coming months.

    ?

  • Our home is for sale! We have been minimizing our possessions for over a year, preparing to live a simpler life (which is necessary for a HUGE project, listed below). If you know of anyone looking for a beautiful home in Pittsburgh, PA, please direct them to the web site we created to assist in the sale of our home: TheLuckHouse.com.

    ? ??

  • Even though it's somewhat scary to do so, we'll be eliminating our full time source of income(Jim's job as a marketing director). We've decided to follow our passion of helping others wake up to a better way of living. Therefore, we'll continue developing all Pure Jeevan sites in ways to help us survive while also living our dream of helping others. Some people might view this (giving up our primary source of income) as an enormous financial risk; however, we know that it's immeasurably more rewarding when you follow your passion in life.

  • When our home sells, we'll be purchasing an RV to travel across the country (hence the need to minimize our possessions). It's not easy to pull up roots, especially with a young teenager. However, we've been planning and preparing for this over a year, now. It wasn't an easy decision to make, but an inner calling to do this was so strong that we couldn't ignore it.

    ?

  • We'll be meeting up with as many raw foodists as possible as we cross the country. We'll be teaching the general public about raw foods (waking them up!), while also introducing them to their local raw food communities (and online ones, as well). We'll have meetups all across the country, so we hope to meet all of you in the near future! This is the huge project we've been hinting about all of last year. We're still not announcing the name of our cross-country tour, or giving out all of the details, but now you know what we've been working on over this past year!

    ? ??

  • As we travel across the country, we'll be dedicating ourselves to continually inspiring those we have met along the way (and anyone else who wants to be inspired, even if they haven't met us in person). We'll do this through an online community that we are currently developing to serve this purpose.

    ? ??

  • The All Raw Directory that we launched in August of last year will be getting a lot of attention this year. We have an event planned for it, as well as many more fun activities over the course of the year. So, if you aren't already a member, go ahead and sign up for it, now, to receive information about the events! AllRawDirectory.com

    ? ??

  • The Know Your Food video series will continue! We have purchased better equipment (still saving for the better editing software) and will be releasing the previous episodes that were filmed months ago! New ones will be started soon thereafter, using the better equipment, and we'll be filming this all while we cross the country, as well! So, perhaps some of you would like to be guests on the Know Your Food video series !

    ? ?? ???

  • We'll be launching an exciting journalistic initiative in a few weeks that ought to be of interest to literally millions of people -- but especially raw foodies! We're absolutely stoked about this and can't wait to publish the first in the ongoing series!

    ? ??

  • Pure Jeevan will be stepping forward to help the raw food community publish raw food books. Our backgrounds are in publishing, and we sense that the raw food community could benefit by having a dedicated publisher who's looking out for all of us. Why be limited to self publishing and lacking the ability to get your books seen by many, or be published by a large publishing company that takes too large a share of your book sales ?You'll hear more about this in the months to come, but we welcome any comments you have about this project!

    ? ??

  • Wendi's first book will be published this year (and the second one will follow shortly thereafter!).

    ? ??

  • We'll be selecting a sunny location, with lots of fresh air, to settle down. Our plans are to select someplace in Northern California, but we are open to any place that feels like home to us when we're ready to settle down. We need a sunny location, though, so we can easily grow our own produce year-round.

    ? ??

  • We have a grand finale project planned for the raw food community, but that one's not going to be announced for a year, or more. We call it the grand finale, because it's quite grand and will require a lot of funding to get it up and running. It will most likely be the last big project we develop, because it will consume most of our time from that point forward.

We welcome you to witness our growth and transformation over this new year. We promise to share a lot about our adventures along the way, being honest and open about how working on these various projects affects us individually and as a family. If you enjoyed our "Closet Confessional" episode of Know Your Food, you may be seeing some more confessionals (especially as we deal with moving from a large and roomy four-story home into a tiny and essentially one-room RV as we cross the country!).

Some of you may wonder why we are disclosing everything we're going to be doing this year. It's because we want to inspire others to "think BIG and follow your dreams!" In the past, one of our projects was copied and very slightly altered and it caused a bit of sadness, at first. We had worked so hard on developing something and then someone came in and just copied the idea and even some of the wording/formatting used in announcing the project. It hurt a lot at first. After some considerable thought and meditation about everything, we realized that even if someone else copies all or part of one of our ideas, at least they are noble projects to develop and put out into the world. Our intention is to create a better world for ALL of us. If someone duplicates what we are doing, in whole or in part, then the intention is able to spread even further, right ?Besides, we live in a world of abundance, allowing plenty of room for similar projects.

However, not all seemingly duplicate ideas or projects involve intentional copying of any sort. A great example of this would be the All Raw Directory that we created. We wanted to develop a site to house all of the information a raw foodist would need, without having to search the Net for each individual piece of information. We told very few people about the directory we were working on, yet another raw directory was developed and launched by the lovely Karen Knowler not long after our initial launching of the All Raw Directory. We received many emails and messages from concerned readers and friends, stating that our directory idea had been copied. Had I not talked with Karen in September at the Raw Spirit Festival, perhaps I would have wondered if she was copying the directory we had created. She, however, had the same idea around the same time and began working on it, just as we did. Markus Rothkranz talked about this very same thing while there at the Raw Spirit Festival. He said something that, to me, meant the more clean our bodies get and the more in-tune we are to our true callings, the more we will find that we are tapping into a similar consciousness/energy/flow. We will begin seeing more and more people doing similar things at the same time. What's beautiful about all of this is that those who are tapping into that universal consciousness, who are in the flow at the same time, are pulling out and developing ideas that are noble and healing for all of us. Isn't that beautiful?

So, don't be surprised if you see some of our projects for 2009, and beyond, showing up as similar projects that others are working on, as well. We happen to be friends with someone who's working on one such project right now! It's going to be thrilling to see how many of us are working in the flow, enjoying our lives to the fullest, while also reaching out to guide others to the beautiful river of universal consciousness that we sometimes find ourselves in. We truly are all one, it's just not always easy to recognize. Let me lend you a hand, and I hope you'll lend me a hand from time-to-time, as well. Together we can create an amazing future for ALL of us! We ARE the ONES!

Thanks for your friendships, your support, and most of all your love. I hope you'll stick with us over this coming year, witnessing all that transpires as a family breaks free from living in a box and embraces the wonderment of following one's bliss.

Lots and lots of love to all of you!

XOXOXO

I'll make sure you get the free eBooks somehow, though!!

Did you download the eBooks? I'd love to hear some feedback, since I know you have both created eBooks before. This is the first time we've done them and we'd appreciate constructive feedback.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Wendi!
You are such an inspiration to me. I just found your site a few days ago. I am like you were 2 years ago. I am very overweight, have no energy, I am so unhappy and feel like everyone is judging me and I judge myself. I have little to give my husband and son. But the time has come to make the change.

I have wanted to do the raw vegan diet for a while now. I knew in my heart when I first heard about eating raw last year that that it was the way we all are meant to eat. At first I thought, if I ever get sick with cancer or something serious, that I d do this diet. Crazy thought, huh? Why wait till then

Now I realize I am sick, and quick on the path to being seriously sick. I have a beautiful son, who is 12 and has autism. He is such a gift and has taught me so much. He needs more from me that the ?typical? child and I am having a hard time giving it to him. I need to do this for him and for me. I need to be a better example to him for how to take care of yourself and how to eat. He needs my full attention much of the day, and I'm having a hard time doing that. But all of that will change, soon I will have the energy I need to do what I need to do.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it has been a huge catalyst, and I could so relate to your story. It s such a blessing, and your website is as well. It will help me in the days to follow.

Dear Redpumpkin,

Thank you very much for your comment. It feels so very rewarding every
time I receive messages from people who have been inspired by what I'm

You can do it, Redpumpkin! You can be the person you know you are inside
and you'll find more and more strength, compassion, love, and energy not
only for yourself but for your son and so many others.

I am a member of some raw food communities and I know a LOVELY woman who
is eating raw with her autistic son. Would you like me to share your name
and email address with her? She is a wonderfully loving person and a
wellspring of knowledge.

Lots of love to you,

Thank you Wendi, I would love to hear from her. Let me know if you need my email address.

My son is very picky about what he eats and hates being on the gluten, dairy and soy free diet as it is. But he is also overweight, unfortunately. So if I can get him eating raw, I think it would help him on many levels!

Thank you and God Bless!

i too am in the midst of a similar crossroads- but it feels most timely and not scarrey at all. when a huge shift is in motion, isn't it always best to go with it rather that against it- like swimming in the large waves of the ocean? resistance sucks one under.

when we clear out spaces for more and more love in our lives, there is no other option for anything but more love to enter. love and happiness- that's why we are here, isn't it? that's why i'm here.
and another fun fact- 2009 adds up to a numerological 11. a power number- heightened spiritual lessons of completion. big stuff.

and i am excited to read the new e-books!

thanks, and much love to you all,

Thanks for putting the E-books together! I love the fact I had first glance at the retreat last year, and now get to see a further refined product! Love the recipes names! I also super love the fact that you put how many each recipe serves!

Sending lots of white light for the house to sell immediately! It's a beautiful home and whoever buys it will benefit from all the love already infused into it. Just as an energetic side note, perhaps you might consider smudging the inside and outside of the house, just in case some not so positive energy is hiding out somewhere.

eBook. :-) Jim and I had fun creating the names--thanks! LOL

Thanks for your positive energy about our home selling. We actually
smudged the entire inside and outside a week, or so, ago--three days in a
row! I keep saying, feeling, and believing: THE HOUSE IS SOLD!!! It's
necessary to have it all in caps, of course, because it's an exciting
thing to imagine and feel! ;-)

See you when we roll into your area during our tour--please let Angel know
